Hibbett Stock Relative Strength Rating Climbs; Setting Up For Another Monster Run?

Shares of sports apparel and accessories retailer Hibbett Sports (HIBB) soared over the past year as people sought refuge in the great outdoors. On Monday, the Relative Strength (RS) Rating for Hibbett stock jumped into a new percentile as it got a lift from 67 to 71.

The 71 RS Rating indicates that Birmingham, Ala.-based Hibbett stock has outperformed 71% of all stocks, no matter what industry group, over the past year. Reflecting that growth, Hibbett stock rose an amazing 1,269% from a 7.33 low in late March 2020 to an all-time high 100.32 on Aug. 26. It’s consolidated lately in sync with the recent market correction and closed at 78.77 Monday, after rising nearly 5% for the day.

Hibbett Stock Among Top 22% Overall

Hibbett stock holds the No. 10 rank among its peers in the Retail-Leisure Products industry group. Academy Sports & Outdoor (ASO) and Pool (POOL) are among the group’s highest-rated stocks.
