AJ Pritchard and his girlfriend Abbie Quinnen have been spotted out and about for the first time since she suffered third degree burns after a social media stunt went wrong.

The couple were filming an online ‘hack’ for their social media followers, which involved dipping a rope into a flammable chemical, wrapping said rope around a glass bottle and then lighting a flame.

The glass, however, exploded during their attempt, engulfing Abbie’s hair and clothes in flames.

She has needed skin grafts and will be left with ‘small scarring’ according to the former Strictly star.

AJ and Abbie looked relaxed and held hands as they went for a walk together, with AJ sticking by his girlfriend’s side.

She was dressed down in a black cap, a large brown coat and a black scarf over jeans and a light coloured jumper.

The professional dancer was also wearing a cap with a dark jacket, blue jeans and trainers.

Abbie was seen wearing compression bandages around her neck which help keep scarring to a minimum.

They looked more loved up than ever as Abbie headed out in public for the first time.

She previously confessed she feared for their relationship after the accident, as she was so concerned about her appearance after the burns.

She told The Sun: ‘I saw my life flash before my eyes. I never thought something like that would happen to me.

‘The first thing I said to AJ was, “Is my face going to be OK? Are you still going to love me?”

‘I kept repeating this to him and I was shaking in horror.’

In an Instagram post Abbie warned people of the dangers of copying any videos they see on social media.

She said: ‘I really need you all to be so careful with what you’re doing & if you are copying any YouTube videos, I will be ok! I love you all!’
