Channing Tatum and Zoe Kravitz’s body language ‘signals romance sparks’

Rumored couple Zoe Kravitz and Channing Tatum have had fans guessing about their relationship status after several public outings together, and a body language expert says their interactions show ‘sparks’ of more than friendship.

Indeed, the duo may not have posed on the red carpet together at the Met Gala but the fact they were spotted leaving together only helped to fan the flames about the potential pairing.

Ever since they were first snapped together on the first of many casual outings in NYC this summer, body language expert Judi James claims the duo has been showing ‘subtle signals of excitement’ about their connection.

Looking at various photos of the pair, Judi explained to Metro.co.uk that their exit from a Met Gala afterparty was just as telling as the more candid paparazzi snaps.

She explained: ‘The best way to spark rumors of a romance is to be seen together at an event looking like sulky strangers even though you are walking side-by-side.

‘Channing and Zoe would have fooled no-one with this “ignore” tactic, because real strangers wouldn’t walk this close together and celebrities that are “just good friends” would be much more relaxed and smiling openly at an event like this.’

Judi continued: ‘So their long faces and their lack of eye-engage or posing up for the cameras here will only make suspicions grow that Channing and Zoe might just be a couple.

‘The alternative hint seems to come when they are more relaxed and away from the red carpet buying coffees, when their more animated body language and their eye-gaze as they speak really does seem to register signs of some sort of affection.’

The body language expert concluded: ‘Their smiles light up when they talk and use eye contact and this face-softening and subtle signals of excitement seems to signal some sparks between the two rather than vague friendship here.’

Zoe and Channing have been working together on Zoe’s directorial debut Pussy Island, with the actress handpicking Channing for the lead role.

She told Deadline: ‘Chan was my first choice, the one I thought of when I wrote this character.

‘I just knew from Magic Mike and his live shows, I got the sense he’s a true feminist and I wanted to collaborate with someone who was clearly interested in exploring this subject matter.’

Both stars are believed to be single following splits from their respective partners.

21 Jump Street star Channing split from Jessie J last October, and was previously married to Step Up co-star Jenna Dewan from 2009 until 2018, with the exes sharing seven-year-old daughter Everly.

Meanwhile, Big Little Lies star Zoe filed for divorce from husband of 18 months Karl Glusman in December.

The couple had been together for three years before getting married at Zoë’s father Lenny Kravitz’s Parisian home in 2019.
