Coachella and Stagecoach have made some big changes to their upcoming music festivals amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

On Tuesday (October 12), the two music festivals both announced that those attending their festivals in 2022 will not need to show proof of vaccinations, but instead need to present a negative COVID test within 72 hours of arrival.

“After seeing first-hand the low transmission data and successful implementation of safety protocols at our festivals recently, alongside the rising vaccination rate of eligible Americans, we feel confident that we can safely update our policy for Coachella that allows for negative covid test taken within 72 hours of the event OR proof of full vaccination,” Coachella wrote in a statement on their website.

Stagecoach shared a similar statement, sharing on Twitter, “Thanks for coming along for the ride as we continue to navigate these unprecedented times so that we can get back to having ourselves a good time.”

They also added that attendees can either show a negative COVID test result or “proof of full vaccination.”

Back in June, Coachella and Stagecoach both announced the weekends that their 2022 festivals will take place.
