Dog the Bounty Hunter Joins the Search for Brian Laundrie, Claims to Have a Lead in the Case

Dog the Bounty Hunter is joining the search for Brian Laundrie.

Earlier this month, 22-year-old Gabby Petito went missing while on vacation with Brian. On Sunday (September 19), officials discovered human remains consistent with Gabby‘s description.

Brian is considered a person of interest but refused to sit down with police to talk about Gabby‘s disappearance. He is apparently now missing and his family says they have not seen him.

Dog the Bounty Hunter (aka Duane Chapman) told reporters he would be searching for Brian on Monday and claimed to have a lead in the case.

Dog began looking for Brian at his parent’s home in Florida on Saturday, where he knocked on the door but did not receive an answer.

“The reason I went to Mr. [Christopher] Laundrie is I carry a reputation with me,” he told Fox News. “The reputation is, ‘He gives you a second chance. He’s gonna get you, but he gives you a second chance.’”

“We had a lot of requests that I get in on this,” he added. “This is what I do for a living, for 45 years.”

According to TMZ, the 68-year-old reality star got a tip that led him and his wife Francie to a campsite that they believe may be linked to Brian.

Sources that spoke to the outlet say that Brian‘s parents reportedly stayed at campsite from September 1-3 and again from September 6-8, however there’s no confirmation that Brian was with them.

Last week, Gabby‘s mom Nicole Schmidt revealed the “odd” text message she received from her daughter before her disappearance.
