Ever since Daniel Craig confirmed No Time To Die would be his last James Bond film, the rumour mill has been in overdrive about who will replace him.

So we’re sure absolutely nobody will bat an eyelid at Idris Elba rocking up to the No Time To Die afterparty.

The Luther star, who has been the frontrunner in the betting odds for the new 007’s identity for literal years now, was among the stars rubbing shoulders with cinema royalty at various swanky locations around London following the No Time To Die premiere at the Royal Albert Hall.

Idris, 49, looked suitably dapper in a navy three-piece suit and tie as he enjoyed his night with wife Sabrina Dhowre.

Sabrina, 32, wore a see-through black dress over a black bodysuit, and accessorised with barely there heels and a clutch bag.

The couple held hands leaving one of the bashes, which were held at venues including the private member’s clubs Annabel’s and Mark’s Club and the hotspot Chiltern Firehouse.

While Idris and Sabrina were just living it up post-premiere, we have to imagine there were some knowing looks around the parties as one of the most rumoured future Bonds celebrated the release of No Time To Die.

Speculation about Idris stepping into Bond’s tux have circulated for years now, and even the actor’s mum has grilled him about it.

Speaking to Capital Xtra back in April, The Wire star said: ‘I know the rumours about Bond have always chased me. Listen, my poor mum is like “One day you’re going to get it!” I was like “Mum, I’m good, I’ve got Luther!” I’m definitely doing that.’

Idris will be reprising his role as DCI John Luther for the upcoming movie spinoff, but the filming for that shouldn’t get in the way of a Bond movie, as producer Barbara Broccoli admitted that she hasn’t even started looking for Daniel Craig’s replacement yet.

Barbara told Radio 4’s Today Show: ‘We’re not thinking about it at all.

‘We want Daniel to have his time of celebration. Next year we’ll start thinking about the future.’

As well as Idris, Tom Hardy, James Norton, Rege-Jean Page, Dev Patel and Richard Madden are heavily favoured to take on 007 in the next invigoration of the spy franchise.

But for now, fans get one more chance to see Daniel Craig as Bond, as No Time To Die hits cinemas this week after many, many delays.

Daniel, 53, looked suave in a pink velvet dinner jacket at his final premiere as the spy last night, posing for pictures with co-stars Lea Seydoux, Lashana Lynch and Ana de Armas.

As expected, the premiere was extremely glam, with Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge in attendance, alongside Prince Charles and Camilla.

Kate pulled out all the stops in a dazzling gold sequinned dress designed by Jenny Packham, which even earned a compliment from Daniel, who told the royal: ‘You look jolly lovely.’

No Time To Die stars Rami Malek, Naomie Harris and Ben Whishaw, director Cary Joji Fukunaga, Billie Eilish, who sung the theme song for No Time To Die, screenwriter Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Jason Momoa, tennis ace Emma Raducanu, Vernon Kay and Tess Daly, and Radio 1’s Clara Amfo were among the stars also on the red carpet.
