Shaughna Phillips shared her fears for Love Island winner Millie Court after she returned home from the villa.

The star, who won the 2021 series with boyfriend Liam Reardon, didn’t have the easiest time of it on the show, and was left devastated when it emerged that her beau had got close to Lillie Haynes in Casa Amor.

While the couple managed to work through their rough patch and eventually won the competition, Shaughna – who has started a new three-month campaign with MuscleFood – revealed she found it traumatising to watch their initial split.

Speaking about her health and fitness journey with Metro.co.uk, talk turned to the most recent series of the ITV2 dating programme, with the 27-year-old admitting: ‘I never watched the week of Casa Amor of my series back but that was definitely hard to watch. I felt so sorry for the girls, and then the Casa Amor recoupling, that was traumatising.

‘It was the worst for Millie because [Liam] came back, and he came back single, but obviously everyone knew what he was doing. Honestly, I wanted to grab her and run away with her because you could see that her heart was like, “Oh my god he’s come back!” It was horrible!’

Shaughna knows all too well about Casa Amor heartbreak, as former beau Callum Jones fell for Molly Smith at the same stage on her series.

During a painful recoupling session, she was eventually left single after choosing to stay loyal, as he decided to pair up with Molly.

After revealing that she has yet to relive her own iconic ‘Congrats hun’ scenes back, she questioned whether Millie’s feelings about the situation would change if she watched it for herself.

‘I’ve been saying to people out here as well, there is a difference between being told what happened and then watching it,’ she continued.

‘I do wonder whether Millie will ever watch that back, because it is two completely different things.’

When asked if she would watch it back in a similar position, she simply replied: ‘Burn it!’

So that is definitely a ‘no’.

Shaughna recently embarked on a fitness journey in an effort to get healthier, and regularly gives us all a glimpse into her journey on social media. She has now teamed up with MuscleFood and their three-month Goal Getter plan in a bid to become healthier, while also working out with her own personal trainer.

Discussing her campaign, she explained that she is hoping for a transformation in the way she views food.

‘I’ve been staying away from the scales, it’s definitely not healthy to be obsessed with weighing yourself every day,’ she added.

‘I’m also hoping for more of a mental transformation when it comes to my attitudes to food and dieting, I’ve always thought that “eating is cheating” and it just shouldn’t be that way.

‘I’m not restricting myself at all. I’m still eating all the good food that I want. I can go to the gym, I can do my PT as much as I want, but when I come home, I can be naughty. It’s just so easy to be like, what’s on Deliveroo tonight? It’s just the easy alternative, isn’t it?

‘So I wanted something that is easy, that doesn’t really require me to do much, but is also healthy and enjoyable. The thought of eating a bit of lettuce for dinner doesn’t appetise me at all. It’s so easy to be naughty, but when the good option is also tasty, it’s a win win.’
