For those who don’t know, there are three new documentaries being released this week: FX & Hulu’s Controlling Britney Spears, CNN’s Toxic: Britney Spears’ Battle For Freedom, and Netflix’s Britney vs. Spears.
Sam already questioned what these companies are doing with the money they’re making off of Britney‘s struggles and now he is speaking out again.

On Friday (September 24), Sam took to his Instagram Stories to share the following statement.
“Apparently my opinion has increased in value over the last few days,” he said. “Past docs left bad after taste. I’m hopeful this one will be respective. I don’t blame CNN, BBC or NETFLIX ([which] got me thru lockdowns [praying hands emoji] for airing them because as an actor I tell other people’s stories too. I question producers who made them ‘just to shed light’ without input or approval from subject. Any credit for light being shed should go to #freebritney [red heart emoji].”
The story also included a “Free Britney” illustration, a cartoon judge, and an image of Jason Statham with the caption “no sweat.”
Britney‘s lawyer has spoken out in response to allegations made in Controlling Britney Spears.
