Teaser Trailer Drops For New Series ‘Queens’ Starring Brandy, Eve and Naturi Naughton – The Shade Room

Roommates, following the news that the upcoming musical series ‘Queens’ was officially picked up by ABC for a full season, a teaser trailer has now dropped giving fans their first look at Brandy, Eve, Naturi Naughton, and Nadine Velazquez as former members of a 90s hip hop group ‘Nasty B**ches’ who are ready to make a comeback. While the trailer is short and sweet, we get a small glimpse of the lights, fashion, and flash that the ladies are set to bring us this fall when the show premieres.

Fans are waiting patiently to see TV vets Brandy, Eve and Naturi Naughton come together to give us all the tea on their fictional 90s hip hop group ‘Nasty B**ches’—and how the former group decides to come out of retirement for another chance at superstardom. In the teaser trailer, we see the ladies on stage performing, shooting a music video, and discussing their comeback over a few cocktails.

As we previously reported, Brandy is set to play the character of Naomi, known as ‘Xplicit Lyrics’ when she was still in the group. She is described as the musical center of the ‘Nasty B**ches’ who was sure she would achieve mainstream success following the group’s breakup, but that didn’t happen. However, things begin to look up for her when the group gets back together and Naomi is reunited with her first love—but she also has to come face-to-face with her rival group member that stole him from her back in the day.

Naturi Naughton will play Jill, aka ‘Da Thrill,’ a founding member of the ‘Nasty B**ches.’ Back in the day she was known for her legendary rhymes and nasty drug habit. These days, Jill lives a quiet life as a devout Catholic with her husband.  Meanwhile, Eve is set to play another one of the group’s members named Brianna, however, the specific details about her character have not been released yet.

The premiere of ‘Queens’ will be announced in the coming months.
