Britney Spears has warned her family to expect the worst if she ever does an interview.

The singer and actress, 39, is fighting the conservatorship order placed on her 13 years ago which gave her father Jamie, 69, complete control of her life and finances.

Britney told her story for the first time in court back in July as she attempted to fight for her freedom, claiming she had not been allowed to make basic decisions like being in control of her contraception or whether she could go to the hairdressers.

Jamie has since been ousted as Britney’s conservator and she is continuing to fight for the order to be lifted.

Now Britney has issued a stark warning to her family – threatening to spill their darkest secrets if she gets the chance to do an interview.

On Friday, she posted a long Instagram message for her 35.4 million followers telling them she’d decided to celebrate Christmas early this year by putting up her tree in October.

Britney Spears has warned her dad Jamie ‘Lord have mercy on my family if I ever do an interview’

The singer shared a candid update with her fans about her life

The caption was accompanied by a photo of a lavish Christmas tree in a luxury living room, decorated in pale neutral tones.

The mum of two wrote: “I’ll just be honest and say I’ve waited so long to be free from the situation I’m in… and now that it’s here I’m scared to do anything because I’m afraid I’ll make a mistake!!’ she admitted.

Britney added: “For so many years I was always told if I succeeded at things, it could end… and it never did!!! I worked so hard but now that it’s here and getting closer and closer to ending I’m very happy but there’s a lot of things that scare me.’

She continued, “I won’t be posting as much in a world where it’s our liberty to be free, it’s a shame!!! I started experiencing that when I got the keys to my car for the first time 4 months ago and it’s been 13 years!!!!”

Referring to the personal control she’d been under, she revealed, “I haven’t done anything to be treated the way I have for the past 13 years!!! ‘I’m disgusted with the system and wish I lived in another country!!!’

Christmas has come early for Britney Spears who has put up her tree already to celebrate her freedom

She then referred to her wish to put up her Christmas tree in October, two months early, saying: “I’m celebrating Christmas way early this year … because why not ???!!! I believe any reason to find more joy in life is a good idea … and it’s no secret that I’ve been through it in the past … so I might have to do things a little differently from now on !!!”

One of the things she’s free to do for the first time in more than 10 years is drive. She continued, “I started experiencing that when I got the keys to my car for the first time 4 months ago and it’s been 13 years!!”

Then she fired a warning shot to her parents, saying, “Lord have mercy on my family’s souls if I ever do an interview !!! In the meantime … I’m staying clear of the business which is all I’ve ever known my whole life … which is why this is so very confusing for me !!! “

Earlier this year, Britney told judge Brenda Perry that her mental health had suffered because of her family. She pleaded, ”

“For my sanity, I need you, the judge, to approve me to do an interview where I can be heard on what they did to me.

“And actually, I have the right to use my voice and take up for myself. My attorney says I can’t. It’s not good. I can’t let the public know anything they did to me and by not saying anything, is saying it’s OK.”

But she continued, “Actually, I don’t want an interview — I’d much rather just have an open call to you for the press to hear, which I didn’t know today we’re doing, so thank you.

“Instead of having an interview, honestly, I need that to get it off my heart, the anger and all of it that’s been happening.”

She added, “It’s not fair they’re telling me lies about me openly. Even my family, they do interviews to anyone they want on news stations.

“My own family doing interviews, and talking about the situation and making me feel so stupid. And I can’t say one thing. And my own people say I can’t say anything.”
