CNN ‘deletes’ critical story about Meghan and Harry’s Oprah ‘inconsistencies’

The coverage of the claims made by Meghan Markle and Prince Harry in their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey has been allegedly deleted by CNN, as the US broadcaster continues with a positive portrayal of the Sussexes.

It has been claimed that a report by the network’s London-based presenter, Max Foster, for the breakfast show New Day, in which he debunks some of the allegations made by Meghan and Harry, has now been deleted by the broadcaster.

The interview has caused much consternation with some praising the couple for ‘sharing their truth’ while others have questioned how many of the claims are based on facts.

Max Foster’s report came 18 days after the interview and it is alleged he investigated the claims and found that some were not as substantial than first thought.

CNN have allegedly removed some critical coverage of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

His probe into what was said by Meghan and Harry had led to CNN anchor Alisyn Camerota admitting live on air: “Now I’m all turned around. Now I’m all confused. Now I don’t know what to believe anymore.”

Writing for MailOnline, Dan Wootton has claimed that CNN have now deleted this report as it went against their stance on the former royal couple.

He has claimed that a link to the report is no longer active and that there is no other way to hear the conclusions that Max Foster had come to over the fallout from the Oprah interview.

The columnist has claimed that CNN have refused to confirm or deny whether anyone from the Sussexes or Oprah’s teams had been in touch with the broadcaster to ask for the report to be removed.

Dan, who is a vocal critic of Meghan and Harry, has said the footage could have been removed if there was a complaint from a third party.

Dan claims that a US media insider told him: “It seems that CNN has gone to great lengths to make the report close to impossible to find online.

“The original link now leads to the CNN homepage, even though there are pages on pages of positive written coverage of the Sussexes when you search for them.

“Max Foster’s original report has had the headline and description removed from it online, which means it is impossible to search for.”

The on screen graphic for the report read: “Royal Reckoning: Inconsistencies in Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s bombshell interview.”

Dan says the coverage began with Foster saying: “Whether or not you’re Team Sussex, it’s hard to argue against the profound issues raised by the Oprah Winfrey interview, especially around suicide prevention and confronting racism, wherever it may live.”

He then added: “Critics of the couple are pointing to inconsistencies in the tell-all.”

The inconsistencies that he outlined are no longer available to be viewed with the network, so far, not providing any response as to what this is.
