The Emmerdale drama is set to continue this evening as Priya Sharma, Andrea Tate and Meena Jutla find themselves in serious danger inside in the maize maze
Emmerdale fans are in for another dose of drama this evening as it’s been revealed a huge fire will break out in the maize maze.
Wednesday night’s episode of the ITV soap saw evil nurse Meena Jutla (Paige Sandhu) attempt to drown critically wounded Victoria Sugden, but she didn’t realise at first that someone was watching her.
The ITV Super Soap Week continued with more danger after Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) fell over a waterfall following the disastrous bridge collapse on Monday night’s show.
Despite surviving the fall, Victoria was found by murderer Meena who proceeded to dunk the unconscious single mother under the water in an attempt to finish her off.
However as this occurred, Andrea Tate (Anna Nightingale) witnessed Meena’s actions from afar and screamed at her to stop but Meena didn’t hear her at first.
Meena’s boyfriend and Victoria’s true love David Metcalfe interrupted Meena who quickly feigned helping Victoria.
However, the killer was left with an Andrea-shaped problem after she came face-to-face with her and Andrea revealed she saw what she did to Victoria.
Meena tried to talk her way out of it initially but Andrea revealed she could tell what the nurse was doing.
It’s now been revealed that Meena will follow Andrea into the maize maze and is keen to silence her.
Things are not looking good for Andrea, but as events heat up in the maze, it’s not only Andrea who finds herself in danger.
A new spoiler image reveals that Priya Sharma (Fiona Wade) also heads into the maze but a huge fire takes over.
The trapped survivalists will find there’s no way out. Can they survive the flames? Or will Meena end up murdering again?
Speaking about shooting the dramatic moments in the maze, actress Fiona Wade – who plays Priya – said: “Filming the fire scenes in the maze was extremely exciting & equally terrifying at moments.
“It’s an amazing experience to be a part of such a wonderful week that’s full of so much drama and action. There were moments in the maze where the fire surrounding us was so hot I had to stop a couple of times.
“It’s incredibly exciting though to be able to have done a few of our own stunts along with the incredibly brave stunt actors that were with us every step of the way.
“Priya, Andrea and Meena are all in the Maze so it’s definitely going to be edge of your seat watching to see who gets out in time…” Fiona added.
Emmerdale airs on weekdays at 7pm on ITV, with previous episodes available on ITV Hub.
