Football Manager 2022, also referred to as FM22, is the latest game in the Football Manager game series from Sports Interactive, and is set to be released later this year.
Sports Interactive have confirmed that their latest game in the Football Manager series, Football Manager 2022, will be released on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.
Football Manager developer Sports Interactive confirmed the release date for FM22 on Thursday afternoon via Twitter, along with the official trailer for their latest game in the series that featured LOSC Lille and Union Berlin.
There have been no feature announcements as of yet, with Football Manager Director, Miles Jacobson, stating on Twitter that “feature announcements will start in a couple of weeks.”
Early Access should be available approximately two weeks prior to the November 9th launch date but please note that the exact go-live time may differ by platform, with players able to get Early Access by purchasing FM22 on PC/Mac from the Official SEGA Store, Steam, Epic Games or the Microsoft Store.

Sports Interactive have confirmed that Football Manager 2022 will return to Xbox with an FM22 Xbox Edition, following on from a successful campaign last season. Both FM22 and FM22 Xbox Edition will be available with Xbox Game Pass™ on Day One, in a historic first for the series.
Xbox Game Pass for PC members can enjoy the unparalleled depth and realism of FM22 while Xbox Game Pass for Console members can handle the managerial essentials from the comfort of their sofa with FM22 Xbox Edition. Both titles will be available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members.
Sports Interactive will be unveiling new game features in the coming weeks across the Football Manager social channels and the Football Manager website, as players eagerly await the official release of the game later this year.
Miles Jacobson, Sports Interactive’s Studio Director, said: “FM22 will break new ground for the Football Manager series as we arrive on Day One with Xbox Game Pass.
The success of our return to Xbox last year surpassed even our expectations and we’re delighted to be expanding our partnership with Microsoft to give Game Pass members the chance to experience the closest thing to being a real football manager.”
On the Sports Interactive website, the developer states “FM22 brings new and progressive ways to find your winning edge, instil your footballing style and earn success at your football club.
New features and game upgrades will drop in late September across FMFC and @FootballManager across social media.”
Football Manager 2022 Mobile (on iOS and Android) is also lacing up for the new season and will be available on November 9 th with feature information to be unveiled in October.
