Jesy Nelson is reportedly gutted at how things have turned sour between her and her ex-bandmates.

In recent days a toxic feud has been brewing between the singer and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Perrie Edwards and Jade Thirlwall following Jesy releasing her first solo single since quitting the band.

Jesy’s new song has got people talking – for all the wrong reasons – as several social media users accused the chart-topper of blackfishing, a term that refers to someone who is pretending to be black or mixed-race.

Then Leigh-Anne was accused of slating Jesy in leaked DMs sent to Instagram user No Hun.

NoHun had asked fans if he should perform a routine to Jesy’s debut solo track and Leigh-Anne replied saying “no”.

The leaked DMs appeared to show Leigh-Anne encouraging an influencer to take down Jesy in a video, calling her “horrible”.

Following this, Jesy was slammed by Little Mix fans as they accused her of sitting back and laughing while Nicki Minaj went on an explosive rant at Leigh-Anne’s expense on an Instagram Live.

Nicki called Leigh-Anne “jealous” and a “clown” and Jesy failed to defend her former bandmate.

And now, an insider close to the Essex native Jesy has told that she feels the backlash is a “personal attack against her.”

The former X Factor star reportedly is upset at it becoming a “Little Mix vs Jesy storyline” and sees it as “a shame.”

“What should have been a positive and happy celebration has been somewhat tainted by what has started to feel like a personal attack against her, an source told Metro.

They added: “It’s starting to become a Little Mix vs Jesy storyline, when ultimately the band and Jesy have always stood for women supporting women and so it’s a shame to see this taking such a sour turn.”

Addressing the blackfishing accusations they added that “she’s devastated” and “understands she still has a lot of learning to do.”

Jesy Nelson left the band in December last year.

She’s revealed that the pressure of being in the group affected her “mental health” when she shared the news to fans.

She announced her shock departure on her Instagram page after announcing she was taking extended time off from the group the month prior.

She wrote to her 7.3 million followers that she was leaving with a “heavy heart” as she reflected on the success Little Mix have enjoyed since winning The X Factor back in 2011.

Jesy penned: “To all my Mixers, the past nine years in Little Mix has been the most incredible time of my life.

“We have achieved things I never thought possible. From winning our first Brit Award to our sold out shows at the O2.

“You have always been there to support and encourage me and I will never every forget it.”

She went on to reveal the reason behind the decision to quit the band.

She has since gone solo – but the video for her new song sparked blackfishing accusations

Jesy added: “The truth is recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health. I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard.

“There comes a time in life when we need to reinvest in taking care of ourselves rather than focusing on making other people happy, and I feel like now is the time to begin the process.

“I need to spend some time with the people I love, doing thing that make me happy. I’m ready to embark on a new chapter in my life – I’m not sure what it’s going to look like right now, but I hope you’ll still be there to support me.
