Kylie and Paul began dating in 2018, but have been forced to spend time apart due to travel restrictions amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic
Kylie Minogue has reunited with her boyfriend Paul Solomons after spending more than nine months apart.
The Spinning Around hitmaker headed back to her native Australia in December, avoiding the third strict Covid lockdown in the UK which came into effect on Boxing Day.
Kylie’s been holed up at her luxury home in Melbourne ever since, as boyfriend Paul, who is the creative director of GQ magazine, was forced to stay in London due to travel restrictions and work commitments.
According to The Sun, the 53-year-old jetted back to the UK after nine months away – as Covid cases in Melbourne continue to rise – and finally reunited with Paul.
It was her longest stay in her home country for more than 10 years, and she’s now debating returning to Australia full-time, after reconnecting with family and friends Down Under.
However, Paul has recently quit his role at GQ, prompting Kylie to consider making Australia her permanent home with her rumoured fiance.
The pop star’s family, including little sister Dannii Minogue, reside in Australia, and an insider told the outlet that being forced to stay in the country due to travel restrictions meant that she has been rethinking where she wants to settle down.
She’s back in London working on new music, but Kylie is reportedly hopeful that when Covid travel rules ease, she and Paul, who have been dating since 2018, will be able to fly more freely between Australia and the UK.
Kylie lives in London and counts fellow ex-Neighbours actress Holly Valance and her billionaire husband Nick Candy, as her neighbours at an exclusive central London development.
A rep for Kylie has yet to comment.
Back in February, it was reported that Paul had popped the question to the petite pop star, after actress Billie Piper accidentally revealed the exciting news during an interview with Elle magazine.
She called the former GQ creative director Kylie’s “fiance”, and despite Paul’s stepmother Gloria confirming the engagement, a rep for Kylie firmly denied the reports.
Kylie started dating media mogul Paul in 2018, and in an interview on Lorraine last year, she opened up on her personal life and described her boyfriend as someone she “feels good with”.
“He is so nice. He is such a good support. We have a laugh. We have both been through enough in our lives and just met at the right time, so it’s lovely,” she said in November.
But when the TV host asked if there were wedding bells on the horizon, Kylie blushed and exclaimed: “Lorraine!”
She said they were introduced by a mutual friend, and she sweetly confessed her loved ones knew she had met her match when she began to act differently.
“All my friends said to me, ‘You were acting different.’ And that’s when I knew that there was something. Because I thought I was acting cool but maybe I wasn’t,” Kylie laughed.
