Lauren Goodger has shared her joy at becoming a mum after welcoming her first child this week.
The former TOWIE star, 34, took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday night to post a sweet video of her baby girl’s nursery.
Earlier that day Lauren and her boyfriend Charles Drury, 23, confirmed that they’d become parents to a baby girl, but they are yet to reveal her name.
In her post Lauren said she’d “never felt love like this” and can’t stop looking at her newborn daughter.
She filmed her baby girl’s crib, which had a bright pink night light on the end of it.
The main lights were off in the clip and the sound of a lullaby could be heard playing in the background, soothing the baby girl to sleep.
Lauren captioned the video: “Never felt love like this, I can’t stop looking at her.
“I should be sleeping but I have the most amazing princess next to me.
“It’s her first night, it’s just surreal this feeling.”
Lauren and Charles announced the birth of their baby girl on Tuesday.
A representative for Lauren told OK! : “Mother and baby are doing really well.
“Lauren and her partner Charlie are really looking forward to spending some quality time with their new arrival.”
The couple began dating in October 2020 and announced they were expecting a baby together in January.
Lauren’s pregnancy wasn’t easy at times, and at one point she ended up in hospital when her baby stopped moving.
Writing about her horrifying experience at the hospital in her OK! VIP column, Lauren revealed at the time: “Sadly, I ended up in hospital last week. I didn’t feel the baby move and I didn’t feel myself, so I was advised to go and have a check-up.”
Luckily, she was her midwives told that her baby was doing just fine.
She added: “As a new mum you worry, but the baby is all fine and perfect.”
Lauren had admitted she’d been desperate for her baby to arrive in the last few days as the UK endures a heatwave.
As temperatures soared to 32C, she begged her fans for advice to cope in the heat as she waited for her baby to be born.
She said: “This heat is the worst thing that can happen to me right now! I love the sun but not when [you’re] nearly 40 weeks pregnant!!
“My rash has flared up massively! Didn’t sleep last night due to itching!”
