Love Island Shannon Singh’s glamour model past as she refuses to feel ashamed

Love Island’s Shannon Singh is ready to find love this summer.

And ahead of her stint in the Majorca villa, the 22-year-old from Fife, Scotland has opened up about her past as a glamour model in her late teens.

But she refuses to be “ashamed” about her past and has described them as her “glory days”.

“I used to be a glamour model when I was 18/19. I loved those days, I’ve got nothing to be ashamed of, they were my glory days. Now I’m more on Instagram / YouTube. I’ve done a bit of commercial modelling. I can DJ as well,” she said.

Shannon regularly posts sultry snaps on her Instagram account, sharing them with her 150,000 followers.

She also models for Savage x Fenty, Nasty Gal and Pretty Little Thing.

The 22-year-old says it’s a “once in a lifetime opportunity” to be a part of the show – and if she meets an “exciting hunk”, that would be an added bonus.

“It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. If you’re lucky enough to participate in the show, why would you not? And hopefully meet an exciting hunk,” she shared.

Shannon is looking for a man who has good “energy” and “personality” and likes going out and being social.

She explained: “I don’t feed off looks, I feed off energy, I need someone with personality. Just someone I can have fun with. I’m a party girl, I love going out, I’m very social.”

The former glamour model has been struggling to find love because she wants someone “genuine” – and she refuses to be with anyone just because it’s “convenient”.

Ahead of her time in the villa, she said: “For me it’s quite hard to find people who are genuine and looking for what you’re looking for. I’m not just going to go with anyone because they’re convenient.”

“I need to make sure they’re for me. Looks – obviously, they’ve got to be handsome, but if he’s a handsome hunk but it’s like talking to a brick wall and I’d rather watch paint dry, it’s not going to be great.”
