Molly-Mae Hague says she ‘conquered my two biggest fears’

Molly-Mae Hague has revealed that she conquered two of the biggest fears in her life during surgery to remove a lump from her breast.

The former Love Island star, 22, has documented her surgery journey with fans in a bid to raise awareness and encourage her 6.1 followers to ‘check their bodies’.

The brave star shared an update from her hospital bed last week, telling her followers that she went under the knife to have a mysterious lump removed from her breast, as well a ‘massive’ lump in her finger.

And in her latest YouTube vlog, Molly admitted that the surgery was one of scariest moments of her life.

Lifting the lid on her medical journey, she told her subscribers: “I literally conquered my two biggest fears in life.

“It was a lot to take in all at once.

“When I tell you that I had to have that big cannula thing shoved in my hand – that was without a doubt my biggest fear in life.”

“When I go to sleep at night and I have a nightmare, the nightmare would be about a cannula like that.”

Molly went on to reveal that her other biggest fear is getting her bloods done – due to the fact she’s ‘petrified’ of needles.

The PrettyLittleThing creative director shared: “The doctors were meant to take a blood test for my pre-op for my endometriosis surgery when I was asleep while having my boob and finger lumps removed.

“But when I woke up, they told me they couldn’t get enough blood so they had to do it again.”

Thankfully, Molly was able to get through the ordeal by reminding herself that there are people who have it much worse off than her.

The reality TV star admitted that she kept thinking of little children ‘who have horrible illnesses’ as she told herself to ‘get a grip’.

“They have through awful things like that all the time and I’m literally 22-years-old. So that’s how I rationalised it,” Molly explained.

It comes after Molly’s recent Instagram post sparked concern among her followers.

Eagle-eyed fans couldn’t help but feel the star looked ‘glum’ and ‘downcast’ as she shared her first update since her surgery.

Underneath Molly’s gorgeous new snap, one follower penned: “You look so sad Molly-Mae. Sending you all the love.”

“Awh, she looks glum. But beautiful as always,” another echoed.

“Is it just me or does she look really downcast,” someone else questioned.

Meanwhile, another gushed: “Hope you’re doing okay you angel on earth.”

Molly is also set for more surgery next week in a bid to relieve the pain from her endometriosis — a long-term condition in which tissue similar to the lining of the womb grows elsewhere.
