‘She’s timeless, we are very flippant, transient and in a disposable kind of time, sadly, as you can see by all he plastic that washes up in the ocean, but she is pretty timeless.

“I hope that people will carry on remembering what a great person she was.

“She truly was one of those icons, she was a national treasure.”

The former EastEnders actor called the late star a ‘national treasure’

“She was an amazing woman. we’ll be raising a glass to her,” he added.

He also said he wants to raise awareness of dementia, a disease that will continue long after the Covid pandemic ends.

Ross added: “We’ve been through Covid and we’re still going through it and it’s taken so many lives, but dementia will carry on taking lives after Covid sadly.”

“I don’t know, I never say never. Life’s too short,” Ross said.

He added: “I hope Grant’s having more fun than I am, he’s probably lying on a beach somewhere having a tequila sunrise.”

For now Ross is busy filming his ever popular documentaries, and has just spent the last few months doing very intense training.

Ross told us: “I had to do two and a half months training so now I’m an advanced rescue diver and also a HSE qualified diver.
