This Country’s Daisy May Cooper and her husband have split up, it is claimed.
Daisy, 34, is believed to have dumped landscape gardener Will Weston, who she shares two kids with.
The actress had grown “tired” of her two-year marriage amid the pressure of lockdown, The Sun reports.
The Bafta award winner’s alleged split comes ten months after the birth of their second child.
A source told the publication: “Daisy said she had grown increasingly tired of married life and was struggling in her relationship with Will.
“They ended things for good earlier this year.
“She has taken off her wedding ring and has been telling her friends their marriage is over.
They said Daisy has also removed Will as a director on her media business, adding: “It’s been a tough 17 months for everyone and Daisy and Will were no exception”.
They went on to say Daisy is “trying to move on with the support of her family and friends” and is “putting a brave face on the split”.
The source added the pair, who married in September 2019, “are both devoted parents to their kids”.
Previously discussing the relationship on social media, Daisy did not suggest that the marriage was under any strain.
Daisy said: “I am lucky to have found my soulmate.”
Daisy May’s representatives have been contacted by The Mirror for comment about the alleged split.
Earlier this year, Daisy apologised to fans after quickly backtracking on an offensive Instagram post.
The star had shared a couple of selfies of her as she celebrated her post-baby weight loss but she added that she looked like a “midget”, which has infuriated legions of her fans.
Daisy took the mirror selfie as she showed off the results of her keto diet which helped her back to shape after welcoming her second son in September.
She quickly responded though, after it came clear that the use of the offensive word had upset many people and she admitted in her apology: “I should know better”.
In a separate post on her Instagram Story, Daisy wrote: “I’m extremely sorry. Thank you so much to everyone who called me out on it. Love you all.”
The Little People of America Charity described the word midget as something “created as a label used to refer to people of short stature who were on public display for curiosity and sport”.
Daisy who stars as Kerry in the BBC sitcom was named as a new team captain on a Sky reboot of Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
She stars in This Country alongside brother Charlie, 32, who plays Kurtan and the pair both wrote the series.
